Sun, love and blues

(Tämä postaus on englanniksi)
Thing that I had been waiting for the whole year happened finally last weekend. Stockholm bluesfest was amazing last year and even better this year! There was so much love, fun and of course blues and I got to know many lovely people that I can't wait for meeting again. This camp is just something you can't describe with words. Just like last year, when it ended, I didn't want to leave.

We started our journey from Turku very early at Thursday morning. Before heading to the camp, we had time to eat breakfast in Stockholm. Then we tried to do some shopping, but because it was Ascension day, all shops were closed until 11. So we had a dessert of breakfast.

In Tvetagården it was very sunny and warm, as every year during the camp. I want to know who is the mysterious guy who always orders a good weather. Despite the sun, I and my travel companion went to sleep after arriving. We might have slept more than danced in the camp, which, of course, is not a bad thing at all.

The parties were lovely as always when it comes to blues. Between the fantastic dances I relaxed (read: sleeped) in the pillow corner. I wish there was a pillow corner in every dance event.

It was almost summer in Tvetaberg and the nature was blooming. In Finland just before the camp buds were only starting to appear on trees.

The dancing house was nicely decorated.

Dancers need energy, and for that there was an Indian chef to cook us delicious food. It was spicy, but lovely. Between meals and dancing fika was served. I loved all the chocolate and pies and of course coffee.

The teachers of the weekend were inspiring. In this picture Adamo and Vicci are dancing in a class to live music performed by the awesome Gentle Sorrows. The duo's version of the song Blue drag made me speechless. I also love this photo because everybody looks so happy.

The last night's party was perhaps the best. Although there was some gin&tonic involved and the band played very long songs, I loved every second.

It felt like the camp went by too quickly, and then it was time to leave. Just when I had found so many lovely new friends I had to say goodbye to them. The feeling still didn't end when leaving Tvetagården. We had a dance while waiting for train with people playing their instruments and jamming. It was a very good end for the wonderful weekend. Some people continued dancing in the afterparty, but we Finns had to catch our flight which was late.

I am already waiting for next year's Stockholm bluesfest. See you all then!
